Early Evening Jazz: Pavel Jany & Dean Harrington

Guitar duo Pavel Jany and Dean Harrington will perform an hour of acoustic jazz and international music.

The eclecticism of Pavel Jany’s guitar playing and composing has no boundaries. Jany has founded several international jazz projects on the Twin Cities’ music scene, including the Brazilian jazz ensemble Ticket To Brasil, the instrumental trio Talking Strings, and the jazz/fusion group Global Jazz Collegium. He is a co-founder of Duo CORDA, and he occasionally performs and records with other local and international artists.

Dean Harrington earned a Bachelor of Music degree in classical guitar performance from the University of Minnesota and was a first-prize winner in the Schubert Club scholarship competition. For the past two decades, he has been exclusively a jazz musician performing with his band Mill City Hot Club and other local groups.
