Early Evening Jazz: Henry Berberi / Chet Carlson

Saxophonist Henry Berberi and bassist Chet Carlson will play two sets of jazz standards in an intimate duo setting.
Henry Berberi is a saxophonist and composer originally from Morris, MN, who is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in jazz saxophone at the Manhattan School of Music. Henry has studied under saxophone legends including George Garzone, Jaleel Shaw, and Caroline Davis. Henry seeks to approach music performance as if he were a visual artist, depicting a story and evoking emotions.
Chet Carlson is a jazz bassist from St. Paul, MN, who is currently pursuing a degree in jazz bass at the Manhattan School of Music. Chet has refined his craft under the mentorship of legendary bassists including Buster Williams, Jay Anderson, Anthony Cox, and Chris Bates. He has performed with renowned musicians such as Wynton Marsalis, Stokley Williams, and Dayna Stephens. Known for his exceptional skill on the double bass and his innate sense of melody, Chet most recently recorded with the Will Hill III Trio, which is set to release new music in early 2025.
